The successful applicant will help launch the projects, build community contacts, and use interviews and other qualitative methods to study how older adults with late-life acquired vision impairment experience and engage with auditory media such as spoken stories, podcasts, and audiobooks. The fellow may further have the opportunity to develop other projects depending on their skills, interests, and interactions with other lab members. This may include, for example, studying disengagement from listening and associated social consequences in older adults with hearing impairment.
